Comment on the picture

My favourite task: Comment on a picture.

It can be modified in the following way:
- Comment on a picture using your active vocabulary.
- Guess what it is.
- Describe a picture by adding one word to the previous sentence.

Now, your task:
1) Describe a picture by adding one word to my sentence:

"The cat is looking at the food."

2) comment on how this task can be used in your teaching situation (if at all)

  1. If I can leave a comment))
"Muum, you've forgotten to add some fish to my dinner. And you needn't grind the rest of the cheese - I don't really like it tooo much"

Vera, I think I haven't understood the task clearly. Should one student write a simple sentence and the next child add a word to it?

  2. I like the cat))) For me his eyes tell: Haiti, Haiti, we haven't been at Haiti, I'm here fed like a prize turkey)))
Of course, we can make up a story, but I think that one word is not enough)))

    1. I agree with Tatsiana partly but this story making may be fast and funny))) Perhaps not for active vocabulary only. And this is an oral activity, I think.

  5. The cat is looking at the mice's food.
In fact, I'd prefer to comment on it: And now, the hard work done, let's wait for mice! or: Don't count your mice before they're caught.

  9. The ANGRY cat is looking at the food!
This activity may help students to learn new vocabulary and have fun at the same time! They can be asked to add an adjective, an adverb, etc.
